Terms of Use
Last updated: October 12, 2026
- Nomato helps you block distracting apps. It's a tool to help you, not a guarantee.
- Weekly starts with a 3-day free trial and then renews every week until you cancel in your iPhone's Settings.
- Lifetime is a one-time payment with no subscription.
- Apple handles all payments and refunds.
- Be kind, don't break the app, and don't use it to control someone else's phone.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Amarendra Mishra, the maker of Nomato ("Nomato", "we", "us"). They cover the Nomato iPhone app and this website. By downloading or using Nomato, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Nomato.
1. Who can use Nomato
You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under the age of legal adulthood where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you. You need an Apple or Google account to make a Nomato account, and you're responsible for what happens under your account.
2. What Nomato does, and doesn't do
Nomato uses Apple's Screen Time to lock the apps you choose, run focus sessions and track your progress. It's a self-control tool that you set up for yourself.
- Blocking depends on Apple's Screen Time and your iPhone's settings. If Screen Time access is turned off, your iPhone is restarted into certain modes, or iOS changes, blocking may stop working. We can't guarantee that an app can never be opened.
- The uninstall guard stops apps from being deleted while it's on. You can always turn it off from inside Nomato by following the steps shown.
- Nomato isn't medical or mental-health treatment. If you're struggling, please talk to a professional.
- Don't rely on Nomato in emergencies. Make sure apps you need for safety, health or work are never on your blocked list.
3. Plans, free trial and billing
Nomato needs a plan after setup. You can choose:
- Weekly: $6.99 per week (US price), starting with a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.
- Lifetime: $10.99 (US price), paid once, with no recurring charge.
Prices may differ in your country and are shown in the App Store before you buy. All payments are processed by Apple through your Apple ID.
Auto-renewal
- When the free trial ends, the Weekly plan is charged to your Apple ID unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- The Weekly plan renews automatically every week at the same price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current week.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current week.
- If you subscribe during a free trial, any unused part of the trial ends when the paid subscription starts.
How to cancel
On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Nomato, and tap Cancel Subscription. Deleting the app or your Nomato account does not cancel a subscription. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
Refunds
Apple handles all refunds under its policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue refunds ourselves.
Price changes
If we change the price of the Weekly plan, Apple will tell you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent before the new price applies.
4. Your content
The answers and reasons you type in Nomato are yours. You let us store and process them to run Nomato for you and to improve the app, as described in our Privacy Policy. Please don't type other people's private information into the app.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Nomato to monitor or control another person's device without their permission,
- copy, change, reverse-engineer or resell the app, except where the law allows it,
- try to get around our security, access other people's data, or overload our servers,
- use Nomato for anything illegal.
6. Our rights
Nomato, including its name, the tomato character, the design and the code, belongs to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store's Usage Rules. We may update, change or stop parts of Nomato. We may suspend accounts that break these Terms.
7. Deleting your account
You can delete your account any time in Nomato, under Settings, Account, Delete account. This permanently deletes your data, as described in the Privacy Policy. It doesn't cancel an App Store subscription.
8. Disclaimers
Nomato is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that Nomato will be uninterrupted, error-free or that it will block every app every time. Some places don't allow these disclaimers, so they may not apply to you.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost time or missed messages caused by blocked apps. Our total liability for any claim about Nomato is limited to the amount you paid for Nomato in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
10. Apple
If you got Nomato from the App Store, you also agree to the following:
- These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for Nomato and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for Nomato.
- If Nomato fails to meet any applicable warranty, you can tell Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Nomato.
- Apple isn't responsible for any claims about Nomato, including product-liability claims, claims that Nomato doesn't meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer-protection or privacy claims.
- If a third party claims Nomato infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending and settling it.
- You confirm you're not in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and you're not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must follow any third-party terms that apply when using Nomato, such as your mobile carrier's.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and can enforce them against you.
Where these Terms don't cover something, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where we are based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you live in the EU, the UK or another place whose consumer laws give you more protection, those protections still apply to you.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app if a change is significant. If you keep using Nomato after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
